Rishabh Anand

Research student, Open-source contributor, Writer

Hey! I'm a grad student at Yale University advised by Rex Ying. I’m interested in geometric deep learning and generative modelling for drug discovery.

I graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS), majoring in Computer Science and Pure Mathematics. I was co-advised by Bryan Hooi and Pietro Liò. My thesis was on generative models for de novo 3D RNA backbone design.

I AM ON THE PHD MARKET FOR FALL 2026. PLEASE GET IN TOUCH!!!

I write about life and a ton of random seemingly-unconnected things (substack, old blog), ML/AI4Bio (tech blog), and am also an active open-source contributor for ML tooling (github).

Stuff I find cool: symmetry-aware methods, biomolecule design, protein/molecular dynamics, literally anything structural-biology-related, mechanistic interpretability of LLMs.
